Creativity Unleashed: Our 4BHK Project in Shivaji Park

Our client wanted an expansive, open design with a creative and quirky touch. Here’s how we made this dream 4BHK project come alive.

The Front Door: Where It All Begins

A good first impression is necessary!. And that comes with designing your front door. Since our motive was to create an expansive look-and-feel, we settled on white as the dominant colour. The outer door is in soft brown to create a contrast. While walking in, one can feel the difference in the energy of the place. The brown used is also soothing to the eyes. The flooring is done in a classic black and white pattern. Do check out the design of the inner door. Sliding doors add a unique touch of elegance.

The Expansive Living Room

White is a soothing colour associated with light. It makes the space appear expansive and welcoming. Living rooms are fun places where the family gathers for fun time, parties and family bonding. So what’s a better way to make this place exuberant than by adding in a touch of dashing blue?

This shade of blue contrasts beautifully with the walls and adds a lively, youthful vibe. Keeping in with the colour palette from our front door, we added light brown pull curtains at the window. Little details like the lanterns hung above, and the matching colours of the pillow add a synergic vibe to the living room.

Making the cabinets come alive

Who says storage space can’t be jazzed up? A dresser with sleek corners needs just the right creativity to become an eye attraction. Here, we brought in a rustic vibe with the detailed windows. A few indoor plants work wonders to make the space stand out. Do check out the details embellished on the window.

What do the windows open up to? Is it a window or a frame? Well, that’s the intriguing part we leave you to guess.

The Quaint and the Quirky

Perhaps the best thing about using white as a dominant colour is that any other colour can easily be used in contrast. Just check out this fun, multicolour chair and the happy minion toy that looks like it belongs in the perfect place. White allows us a lot of playroom space, especially when it comes to furniture, door colours and decor items.

Furthermore,  the design on the bathroom doors ties up the synergy of the room. Also, we ensured that the vertical space is optimally utilised, so we chose a wall-to-floor cupboard. It offers spacious compartments for storing things like extra bedding, winter wear, etc.

Light it Up! Make Storage Space Interesting

And the lights will guide your home! Dead space used for storage areas like walk-in closets isn’t dead space at all when you play with lights. The area around this cupboard may not be used much, but installing a few quirky lights will undoubtedly bring out the best.

This massive wall-to-wall cupboard has enough space to hold everything right from your winter wear to heels, accessories and much more.

The Bedroom: Pristine and Playful

Kids' bedrooms are always lively. So why not mirror that in the look-and-feel so that young people can match the vibe! Do check out the roll-up curtains at the window!

The pattern offers an excellent contrast to the white walls and the cabinets. White is great, but too much of it can make kids feel bored and out of place. But we incorporated a splash of colours to make the entire bedroom look attractive. The tiny detailings on the overhead cabinet and the bed pattern are just some of the changes we made to make this place come alive. It’s just what one needs- quaint and quirky, all rolled in one.

A Touch of Nature

There’s something rejuvenating about sipping a cup of tea, looking over the view from the balcony. Every house needs a bit of open space to feel fresh energy coming in.

Using the same flooring pattern brings a synergy, incorporating the open space as part of the house and not as an extension. The same goes for outdoor furniture. Outdoor furniture needs to be hardy to withstand rain and sunshine, so we opted for metal seats. To maintain the synergy, we use the same blue colour from the living room.

Some Delightful Decor

Decor pieces in the living room are the perfect way to liven up the vibe! We used this piece next to the television cabinet to add a touch of elegance and charm.

While using decor items, one needs to be careful about maintaining the overall look of the place. For example, we used a subtle shade of blue, which complements the rest of the colour palette used in the living room.

The Jazzed-up Bathroom

Bathrooms are the best when it comes to lighting. That’s why bathroom ceramic often uses white. The shiny white reflects light well and makes it appear cleaner, brighter and more elegant.

We made the bathroom cabinets dark brown for that contrasting element. Don’t forget to check out the floor pattern. This is keeping in the theme of black and white, but with a slightly different pattern so that the bathroom looks a bit different.
