Sri graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from Anna University and then obtained a Master's degree in Adaptive Architecture & Computation from University Collge London. Sri identifies herself as a 'Design Explorer'. She has touched base with various facets of design right from civil engineering, sustainable design, residential & office interiors, healthcare interiors to behavioral architecture, design research and architectural computation.
While the breadth of Sri's explorations are never exhaustive in this ever evolving world, with certain futuristic aspirations, she is currently developing depth in spatial interiors through Hipcouch and in utilitarian product design via her brand 'pudhir'. However her roots may be, Sri is always up for conversations and discussions about design, people and spatial engagements.
For Sri design is that designer's solution for a need or a problem. It is unbounded and ever dynamic, and so there is liberty for the designer to objectify the need or problem through his/her own lens. Design is not merely an aesthetic expression. It is rather the synthetic convergence of client's needs, contextual contingencies and user-design engagement, as developed in the designer's head.
