Kanaka Thakker & Adnan Tambawala
Kanaka Thakker studied architecture from Sinhgad College of Architecture, University of Pune (2009). She has obtained a postgraduate degree in Housing and Urbanism from the prestigious Architecture Association School of Architecture, London (2012). She has attended post professional courses in the field of lighting and interior decoration from the University of Arts, London.
She has over 8 years of experience and has been involved in designing spaces that range from large scale commercial projects to fast paced residential interiors. With housing as her core expertise, Kanaka focused on designing flexible living formats. She strongly believes in producing user centric designs that prioritize the needs and aspirations of users over the whims of design.
After completing his architectural education in Bombay, Adnan gained a Master's in Advanced Architectural Design from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. He has worked with eminent architects like Hafeez Contactor and Ratan J. Batliboi, where his critical understanding of spaces and attention to detail came to the fore.
His work experience ranges from sky scrapers and large building societies in Noida to high-end, customized interiors for vacation homes in Alibaug and beyond. Currently operating from Bombay, he believes that great interior design is a blend of robust utility and a desire to push the boundaries. Materials, finishes and subtle details form a predominant part of his design palette. Practical, elegant and thoughtful are how most clients describe his work.
